It doesn't get any better than this. When you escape from your big city law office, you can telecommute from the gazebo park in downtown Pomeroy thanks to the free wi-fi all over.

The renaissance in Downtown Pomeroy continues. Click on the picture below for a flash video sample of the jam session at The Pomeroy Artisans' Gallery from Saturday January 12, 2008.
"What's with all the cars on Main Street?" I'm often asked. Sometimes it's The College of Leonard. 2007 brought in 61 new students who created almost 500 necklaces plus several other fused glass items. The first week of 2008 brought in 9 more new students. Considering that Harvard matriculated only 9 students in its entire first year, we're doing quite well.
On Thursday mornings it's coffee at The Hungry Horse Coffee Shop that brings in the crowds. In the front part of The Pomeroy Artisans' Gallery you can get latte, cappuccino and Pomeroy Blend Coffee with a biscotti.

September 8, 2007. Another successful 2nd Saturday Affair. The historical society hosted a biscuits and gravy breakfast with Knight Train Tours of historical places in town. Mark Schossow did a great job of narrating the tour. Stops included the G.A.R. statue at Unioun Cemetery, site of the sweet corn canning factory, sites of both creameries (one building is still in existence), the Lowrey Home, city park and the site of the former Drommer Produce.
Guest artist at the public library was spinner, Christine Palmer and fibre artist Steve Smith was at the Pomeroy Artisans Gallery.
