Pomeroy's Volunteer Group started the band stand project shortly after receiving moneys awarded from the Calhoun County Grant Foundation. Byron Stuart owner of Byron's held a street dance in honor of Emily Gray and Paul Mogensen's upcoming wedding. Brother Trucker was the first band to play on the stage.

Above are two photos taken from the stage platform; the top view is looking towards Main Street and the view below that is looking straight up through the rafters. This structure is impressive whichever way you look at it. The Calhoun County Communty Foundation awarded the Pomeroy Volunteer Group money from the grant program to build the band stand. The City appreciates the money awarded as well as the volunteers that made this project a reality.
